Study Abroad

Duke offers two study abroad programs in France: Duke in France (EDUCO) and Duke in Paris.

Duke in France introduces students directly into French institutions of higher education, where they study alongside French students. Located in the historic Latin quarter of Paris, DIF offers a challenging course of study and the experience of total immersion in French life and culture. Participants spend the year or semester taking courses from many fields as fully matriculated students at the University of Paris or other prestigious schools like the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po).

Duke in Paris is a six-week, two-course summer program in French language, culture and literature. The program takes place in Paris and includes several day and overnight excursions, including a weekend excursion to the South of France. In addition to coursework in literature, culture, and language, students hear and speak French in the context of everyday life by living with host families.
